Hello, my name is Aimee Marie Chapman and I have been the Director of the Sheridan Early Childhood Education since 2008. My previous experience includes 15 years of working with private childcare centers in Colorado and Illinois. During those 15 years, I gained experience as a classroom teacher, Assistant Director and Director. I have a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies and a Masters in Early Childhood Special Education.
I believe in building a community of early learners where they can explore, create, and learn. It is essential for early learners to be inquisitive and curious about their environment both inside and outside of the classroom. Preschool instructional teams and personnel need to be able to use both direct instructional practices and be able to encourage learning through the child's play. Additionally, I enjoy working with the families in the Sheridan community and setting the stage for future educational experiences.
